Hello - Does anyone know if the Carman project is dead or if any updates are expected to be released?

i have old .deb files that i installed on os2008. they install without too much of a headache, but there are some things that dont work correctly and render the app useless. it would be nice if there was an update for it.

I think it will be part of a future version of Canola2 ...

It is still being worked on according to the devs at IntD.

Unfortunately, I have N770 OS2007he and I cannot get Canola2 to run on my machine, and I am missing out on that fun. So I hope they will release or update Carman as a separate app. Everything works fine in the Rich View, but the other view always times out.

But I have a 'little' problem.

What I use:
I use Elmscan5 with Firefly BT/serial adapter.

What works:
- Elmscan5 with serial cable on a Windows PC and the Software provided with CD-ROM
- can connect N810 with Firefly BT/serial adapter

What doesn't work:
- Carman doesn't connect with Elmscan5

Elmscan5 is untouched/closed, I haven't changed any jumpers as I must pull off the label. Firefly is set back to factory defaults (jumpers inside 1to2 3to4.. but not 9to10, all dip switches to off and reset Firefly with changing 3x dip switch 0 from on <-> off).

Can anyone tell me a working configuration please???

I played yesterday night some hours to get a connection with a serial cable (1:1 and crossover cable), different speed settings and I even didn't get this connection

please run carman in the console with:
carman-gtk --log-level=debug --log-format=verbose --log-file=/home/user/carman.log

Then submit the generated file in our bug system: https://garage.maemo.org/tracker/?at...89&func=browse
