Sorry if this is off topic and does not belong in this forum, but I wanted to know if anyone has seen or tried to install Linux on a onboard memory or boot from a MMC on a LG VX9800?

UPgraded, so I am not looking for wireless connections, nor cell phone connections. What i would like to do is just ran a simple text based interface, which has a simple text editor (pico) and other applications. Ubuntu Mobile comes to mind, but I am just now getting into linux, so very unsure of my options, and technical skills to back my ideas, not to mention user skills with Linux.

Thank you,
Cheers!!!!

I don't know what a LG VX9800 is, but I do know there is a forum named "Off topic" here, where your off topic question would have been on topic :-)

From pics (http://images.google.co.uk/images?q=LG+VX9800) it looks quite nice, but yeah, this should be in Off Topic, or possibly in Competitors.
