Thanks for all the help. Now that Gizmo offers free calling and messaging to Skype users, it is a baby step towards taking skype off my tablet and just using my rtcomm for everything. I have my Gizmo account setup on my rtcomm as a sipphone, avoiding Gizmo on my tablet all together. There are still a few problems with it...skpe users can't call me. Also I want to be able to see if they are online or not.
Question: since Fring allows all these things. Can it be intergrated into rtcomm? Or does jabber allow you to text with skype users?

I don't want to have another application running (ie. skype or fring), I am hoping to exclusively use rtcomm if that is possible.

Also, I was looking at downloading Fring...it only lists N810. Would it work fine for N800?

Fring also works on the n800. And no it cannot be integrated into rtcomm.
