Is it possible to create a application that can defragment or reformat the memory cards on the device? I think that it would be a very very usful application for people who acsidently corrupted their memory card and want to find a faster more convent way of fixing the situation. has someone allrety done this? If not can someone try to compile an app? I'm shure that a lot of people would want a application like this.

Nokia in its wisdom already provided a formatter: File Manager >> Tools >> Format memory card ...

Also you can use sfdisk to partition and mkfs.vfat to format manually.
fsck.vfat will scan a card for errors, defragging an sd card is overkill imho.
