My N810 has been acting up as of late and I thought I'd reflash (it's been a while and I don't have the absolute latest). But, when I attempt to use the Backup app, it just hangs without actually performing the backup.

My N810 isn't crashed, per se... I can Kill the Backup app and resume whatever else I was doing... It just doesn't want to make a backup.

Anyone experience this before?

Thanks,
Tim

Update: I ended up reflashing and resetting everything from scratch... Ugh. I still wonder if anyone has experienced this.

Most likely claws email, if you had it installed at one time but it was then uninstalled. It seems to leave a backup setting behind while removing what is to be backed up. Still, the backup app should not hang on something like that. I wonder how it slipped past quality control...

I had same problem with backup when upgrading to 51-3 that never got resolved and did like you - reflashed and started fresh -

I had claws and uninstalled it so it sort of makes sense,

This might help:

i.e. removing claws from the osso-backup list.
