It sure would be nice to have BZFlag (http://bzflag.org/) running on the N800. (Would make for a great WLAN-party for N800/N810 owners)

To show how serious I am: I offer a kilogram of Swiss chocolate to anyone who gets bzflag running (to a usable level) on the Nokia N800 Internet Tablet! (OS2008)

Any further offers?

Well, thanks for that... I can make it work on my Kubuntu system (netcat -t [host] [port]), but I cannot make it work on the N800 using the equivalent (netcat -T [host] [port]). It just comes back to the command line, after a short delay.

Erm, how? Running the bzflag client in a chroot on the n800? How'd that work then?

Bzflag requires opengl and it's not going to work with usable speed.

I see the N900 has OpenGL ES 2.0 graphics acceleration. Can I have bzflag for that then?

(Hmm, using the N900's accelerometer to steer with would be v. cool too.)

Does the offer for 1kg of good swiss chocolate still holds if the port works on an N900?

(no, don't get your hopes up: I don't even own an N900 yet in order to work on the port )

It sure does.

Steering via the N900's accelerometer earns extra credit.
