Hi,

With so many wonderful applications available for the tablets, I guess we no longer need smarty-phones that besides making phone calls also sing and dance and put the children to bed. So the question is, which is a simple, cheap phone that just speaks fluent GPRS and connects reliably to the tablet? (Got N800, OS8)

p.s. Yes, I've seen Jeremiah's excellent post about the same (http://www.internettablettalk.com/fo...ad.php?t=12081). And also http://www.internettablettalk.com/fo...ead.php?t=6551. Phones change quickly. Any update since these posts?

Pretty much any Bluetooth phone will work, even the cheaper ones, as long as it supports the DUN profile. I've used a Nokia 3110 Classic and 5300 without any problems. It doesn't have to be Nokia though.

However, if you want the fastest connections, you ought to get a 3G or 3.5G phone which is slightly pricier, though even in this area the prices are coming down (and prices of smartphones are coming down too BTW).
