Ok, here's a stupid question, but it shouldn't be difficult.
file manager presents a simplified directory structure
Nokia
...Documents
...Video
...Image
etc.
When I download something to be saved, I put it in the documents directory. But I never find the damned directory.
What's going on with that? I'm guessing that the Documents directory is some sort of filtering system that hides absolute paths from the user. That has advantages.
But that doesn't help me in two respects:
1)I want to use the memory card to store all my data and files (so as not to fill up my device itself).
2)some of the applications require a knowledge of the absolute path. For example, using FBReader, I need to know the absolute path to add books to my library. But Nokia makes that impossible!
In addition to helping me with this problem, please give advice about how to manage files on your device (device vs. memory card).
Also, I've seen that the still-not-here firmware update contains improvement to the File Manager. Does anyone know what they are?
