Guys please tell me how you guys are using the maps application while booting of the internal mmc?

After using penguinbait's deb.. i am booting off the internal mmc but... obvioulsy the maps on the internal mmc got erased. The map app reads only the map data in the internal memory card... so how do you guys go about doing that

Thanks

That'd be:
Code:
mkdir /media/mmc1/maps
ln -s /media/mmc1/maps /media/mmc2/maps
But it won't work, unless /media/mmc1 is an ext2/3 fs, instead of FAT. (I use Maemo Mapper, so I haven't the slightest clue if there's a way to reconfig Maps to use a different location.)

I am booting off int flash, int mmc ext mmc and if you clone the system, maps is there automatically. Could you explain a little bit? Or you mean other kind of maps? For NavMap, you copy the whole folder into mmc1 or mmc2; NavMap find it automatically. Whether you boot up from intflash/mmc1/mmc2, they just work. I am sorry if I misunderstand you, ....just trying to run out of office to grap a bite.

I just copied/moved the maps directory from the internal to the external (on an n800) and it just worked. (copied, renamed so I could bring it back, started up map, checked, removed the internal).
I think I even used the filemanager.
