Arond 4 to 5 minutes after connecting the power cable, a white screen nokia logo shows for a few moments then it goes to battery charging mode. After some time it shows tha battery is full. I press the on/off button to turn it on, but nothing happens. It does not respond at all. I also connected the tablet to pc and Found New Hardware message appeared, but it failed to install the hardware. Is it some firmware issue or something else. Please, advise, if any one has a clue. Thanks in advance.

Are you holding down the power button? I find it takes a couple of seconds before the tablet will actually power up. You should see the D-Pad's blue light come on after a couple of seconds of holding down the power button too.

Please let us know if you are holding down the button and don't see the blue light or get a boot.

You should remove the charger connector. Use the stylus press on/off button for about 3 sec. Don't release it too soon.

This may have damaged your system. If you have the Nokia Upgrade Wizard (search Nokia's website or the CD that came with your n8x0), after connecting to the PC hold down the on/off button AND the button on the front that looks like a house simultaneously. When the USB symbol appears in the upper right corner of the screen, release both buttons. If the Windows New Hardware Wizard starts, shut off the tablet and start over. Then follow the instructions given by the wizard.
