i need to reflash my n810 tablet and am thinking of getting an asus1005PE-PU17-BU 10.1-Inch netbook. does anyone know if the Nokia Internet Tablet Software Update Wizard will work on Windows 7 Starter, which comes with the asus?

http://www.nokiausa.com/get-support-...oftware-update
works with Vista (32 and 64 bit editions), so, by extension, should work with any flavor of windows 7 (including starter).

Windows starter edition does not affect what kind of applications you can run (fyi) -- the only hint at compatibility with applications is that professional and ultimate editions support "XP mode" in which it has the option to virtualize a windows XP installation -- nothing most consumers would ever use

according to the maemo wiki windows7 32bit is supported. i wonder if the nokia debian installer would work with puppy linux, which i just put on my 12 year old desktop. it's great btw., aside from tthe fact that there are no drivers for my modem ...
