Currently I do not have my N800 at hand, so I can not try it myself.

Does Pimlico Dates support subscribing to iCal calendars like Google? (The Desktop-Version does!)

Pretty late now, but I may as well clear this up: Yes, you can!
I think it's a recent update to the newer version, as I don't remember seeing this when I first looked. Spent a long time hunting for solutions for a problem that doesn't exist; your post got me to check, and indeed, Pimlico Dates has web calendars as an option. Beauty!

Just go to Calendar -> Properties in the menu and click New, then change Type to "On the Web". Add the private ical link for your Google Calendar. Seems to work extraordinarily well. (Although I haven't tested it much, because I suddenly realized that my very portable N810 fully replaces my need for an online calendar).

No, it's a one-way download, direct from Google. Ical web calendar is a more generic format, not really designed for that sort of interaction. A read / write Google Calendar client needs to use Google's APIs.

I know Erminig allows for two-way, but I find Pimlico prettier than GPE :P

Yeah, I use GPE/erminig. What I would really love is for Pocket Informant to come to Linux. I loved that app in my Windows Mobile days. Add GCal sync to that and I would buy it outright again.
