All the times I've used gPodder on maemo it has never worked. At first launch it will always present the import from OPML dialog cause I dont have any subscribed podcasts. So I will check some to be addded and press OK. Afterwards, it tells me there are no new episodes. It doesnt even add these podcasts to the sidebar. It seems to fail at its main goal. I figured this doesnt happen to everyone cause there would be a lot of uproar about it. Can anyone explain why this would ever happen? Is there some additional setup required?

Whenever I've fired up gPodder for the first time (after installation) I've never been prompted to select from pre-offered feeds. Strange.
Since there are no podcasts on the left-side of the screen, I guess hitting the lower-left "update" button does nothing??

Have you tried manually adding a feed, then seeing if you can "update" it??

I am now really weird results out of gPodder now. If I go to add a podcast half the time it says there are no new episodes and the other half it finds the most recent. When I go to download the episode it never can. It will tell me the name of the episode it cant download. The names always seem to have <b></b> HTML tags around the name, which is unrelated but still weird. I think I have to give up on gPodder for now, really a shame seeing as I use it on my desktop and have never had one problem with it.

Are you booting from SD card? Did you use the cloning .deb? If you did, you should point to the correct SD card with enough space for the audio. I needed to point to my SD card because I couldn't download any file.
