Despite the fact that the built in browser is ace I added the mozilla repository and added it. to have a butchers.

It could not hold a candle to the built in one which was no surprise so I uninstalled it.

I have since read (and cannot find the posts) that it leaves some unoptified stuff behind.

I see a Mozilla Runtime in my uninstall list but am only partially sure that it was not there beforehand.

Version is 1.9.2+rc1 which also makes me 99.9% certain it is nothing to do with the built in browser but thought I'd ask here just for that extra 10th of a percent and that I had not seen it in search results so an answer may re-assure others.

It is part of fennec/mobile firefox and can be safely uninstalled.

isn't there in my case.

i had firefox installed too and removed the runtime as well.
everything else still works fine.
you're good to go.
