Hi this problems seems to be related to the old versions of dbus only present in the OS2006 and 2007 what version of firmware are you using?
Dbus could not handle wrong chars in the file names / paths :/ the default media player dont need dbus... so it doesn face any problems...

Hi Jukey, did you checked the extras repo on diablo (disable the devel)
?
all the plugins are supposed to be there. The only one missing is the ogg support that we depend of the ogg support for maemo being available in the server to compile our code for it.

I start canola2 -vvv as user in terminal and got the following message after trying to start playing the file:
Same error if I try to look for podcasts by tipping "my feeds".
Edit: re-installing canola solved the problem. But now installing plugins like the one for lastfm is not possible (" canola2 (>= 2.0.0~beta9-maemo2) aber 2.0.0~beta9-maemo1 soll installiert werden")
Any Idea?
