I think is very important to have the tools to easy work from our PC in our IT. I Hope this can help anybody.
There are what I use:

For access to my IT desktop
in my IT:
x11vnc ... a vnc server
in my PC:
ultraVNC .... a vnc client

For access to my IT Terminal (CLI)
in my IT:
openSSH-server ... ssh server
in my PC:
Putty ... ssh client

For access to my IT files:
in my IT:
openSSH-server ... also sftp server
in my PC:
winSCP ... sftp graphical client

on the
desktop.

It's more fun if you do VNC the other way - from your IT to a PC

I frequently SSH into my N810 to copy files onto it, or to edit config files. I like the way I can just sync new music to my N810 without having to physically connect the device to my PC. It can be sat downstairs, in my jacket pocket or even in my car outside.

Shame file transfer speeds are a bit slow though.

where can i get x11vnc for n800 (2008 4.1)?

PS: i use filezilla for file transfer, other the same
