Ok, I haven't seen a thread anywhere but I don't know what to make of the latest mediabox update.



The double menu has appeared and application won't launch to full screen. Also, random quits are becoming more and more apparent even when the application is doing nothing.

There's something wrong. This is not how it's supposed to look.
Did you maybe disable repositories in the application manager?

If it's missing, MediaBox wouldn't know it's running on Diablo.
The question however is, how can it be missing as I think it comes with the OS? Did you install something unusual or removed system packages?

I am also missing the "/etc/osso_software_version" file. From what I can tell, it does not normally come on the n810, but can be installed -- see this post: http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?t=26737.

(Now maybe MediaBox will actually look good on my n810 -- I just never bothered to complain.)

Hi pycage,
I do not rely on such file to detect the maemo release, since it is ureliable, but in API differences:
Code:
import hildon
Window = hildon.Window
if hasattr(Window,'set_app_menu'):
        ui_environment['platform'] = 'maemo5'
else:
        ui_environment['platform'] = 'maemo4'

I'm quite sure it was there on my N810 since the moment I flashed it. Maybe it gets missing if you upgrade OTA somehow.
Thanks for clarifying. I'm going to look for a more reliable way to detect Diablo OS.

[SOLVED] Whatever you did in the last update fixed it. No crashes, music is found properly and it shows in fullscreen.
