I've got a friend who works at Nokia, they are now hiring talented C/C++ developers to work on S60 and Qt. This sounds great !

I wonder when we will see a convergence in the Symbian and Maemo product lines ? It's unlikely that Nokia will drop GTK+/Hildon in favor of Trolltech's Qt in Maemo, so there's probably going to be a common Qt-based development platform in the next generation of the Internet Tablet.

Exiting stuff.

I'm experimenting with using Qt on my N810, using the Python bindings PyQt. So far my Qt Python programs I was running on Windows work just fine on the N810, with no editing.

I did have to tweak the layout a bit since the N810 screen is 800x480, and my programs were assuming a somewhat larger monitor.
