Newbie to the forums but I have had a 770, N800 and N810. I have the Navicore Gps pack for the N800 which I used on the N810. I upgraded my firmware yesterday to 4.2008.36-5 and my understanding from the wayfinder web site is that I would just put my activation code in Maps and have my turn by turn directions.

Unfortunatly that didnt work.

I have tried reloading the firmware, I have also formated the internal memory to wipe out any old information. When I try to put in the activation code (or even request a free trial) it come up with a connection error. I also wiped out the maps and am unable to connect to download them as well.

I can connect to the web as I have been on the internet.

I have licensed my Wayfinder/Navicore/Map a few days ago after a reflash. Currently I am unable to refresh the maps list, download a map, update traffic information, update security camera information, and so on.

So I believe it is an issue on their side.

Consider to contact them.

Or, do you have Privoxy installed? Are you using GPRS or some kind of mobile Internet? These might 'mangle' the traffic; the application tends to dislike that.

I have sent an email to them but they arent open on the weekend. I havent installed anything on the N810 so I think you are right that it might be a server issue on their side.

I cant even download the maps manually onto my PC, so it certainly looks like a server issue

got an email from wayfinder and thier servers were down this weekend. Activation and map downloads are now working.

had to reinstall my NIT and succesfully authenticated my license.
