So, the BH-214 works fine with the N900.

But that's not actually what I want. I want to connect a wired headphone - the audio loss inherent in BT headsets, not to mention the hiss that many jacked, self-powered wireless headsets impart with in-ear monitors, is not really what I want. And 'hi-fi' Bluetooth headsets such are the Nokia BH-905 are anything but 'hi-fi', at least from my point of view.

The problem is, there doesn't seem to be a wired jacked remote/headset along the lines of the AD-54 for the N900 which will pass an audio signal relatively unmolested to a pair of decent headphones / earbuds.

So I'm wondering: Is there a way to pair something like a BH-214 in a manner that only enables its mic and the transport / call controls, but to divert audio to the earphone jack? Or is there a hack to get the AD-54 functional with the N900?

without anwsering your question: your problem with the bh905 is 1) the bluetooth? 2) the n900 16 bit circuit? 3) the bh905?

have you tried using the cable? it sounds better.

sorry, i dont know the answer yet. let me do some research
