Hey all,

Are there any problems with changing the user account in /etc/passwd to /bin/bash?

If you install bash from extras, it has a choice of making it the default shell automatically (which I think does invoke usermod iirc).

No problem whatsoever. I use it for quite a long time as my default shell without any issues.

Give it a try...
