There is a fantastic auto-type program for Windows called Shortkeys

which replaces predefined words or whole paragraphs by simply typing a few letters or numbers or any combo you have assigned as the trigger. This is different from the auto complete feature already present on Maemo in that it is 100% consistent and dependable. With the auto complete feature you can never be sure that you will get exactly the same words to choose from given that it is continuously adapting. More significantly, you have no way of invoking whole paragraphs.

Two questions:

1. Is there such an application for the Maemo?

2. If the answer to question 1 is no, will one of you experts write one for the Maemo (Diablo compatible please)? if so, please make sure that it is globally available. Even though writing on the Maemo is easier than on most handheld devices, this would nevertheless make it infinitely simpler than it is at this time. Imagine typing a single letter or a single number and watch it magically transform into a long word or even a long paragraph instantly. It is auto complete on a massive dose of steroids. It is simply indescribable how much unnecessary effort it has saved me in Windows. Try it in Windows and you will see what I mean.
