I just ran across news of a compact, foldable bluetooth keyboard from MSI that runs on AAA batteries and can be purchased for $50 from select vendors.

If anybody picks up one of these things and can get it to work speedily with their NIT, do tell.

From the first hit (dealextreme), that's SPP, so it will work, but will require Fanoush's kbdd. However, the "Universal" designation usually means it does both HID and SPP, and it wouldn't be the first error in a dealextreme description...

That same (or at least visually identical) hardware is available under various brandings, with SPP and HID profiles; I have one badged as a Palm 3245WW, which I can confirm is HID. They're quite nice keyboards, and work fine. The 3245WW is usually available for $50-60, so I'd go with it or some other known HID incarnation, instead of the possibly-SPP-only version.
