I have a 30/20 Mbits fiber net connection. I have an ASUS WL-500gP V2 (54Mbit). When I make a speedtest on my N810, then its "only" 5,5Mbits both download and upload. What is the reason it is not higher? Maybe because thats the limit of the gadget to read and write the memory?
Anybody else measuring higher speed with it?

1/ the wifi hardware is not brilliant
2/ the driver is closed source so noone can make it better

if the file is huge, copy it using a high-speed SD card, or maybe USB?

There are many different types of speedtest applets, so it's difficult to say what the problem might be. Your wireless connection may be having an impact as well.

With the speed tester at

http://www.speakeasy.net/speedtest

i have seen 7 mbps down / 3 mbps up on an N810 over a WiMAX connection.
