After the recent firmware update, I've found a weird bug. Actually, after every boot, no matter what theme I've selected before, my N900 switches back to the default theme, the one called Nokia Nseries. The wallpaper remains the one of the previous theme.
I wonder if this is actually happening to some other people, I've reported that to Bugzilla, if you are experiencing this have a look there.

If you have already done that update, please try changing the theme and rebooting.

I encountered this only on the "wordcity" theme in ovi. The themes from "disruptive publishers" (e.g. badlands, steel and blkwhite) remained as-is after every reboot.

Have you tried removing and then reinstalling the theme?

I don't think that could be a solution, because the bug was still there even without extra themes, but I'll give it a try.

Yes we have just mentioned that thread in the bug report, do not have time to try but people say it works.

EDIT: just tried it, didn't work for me. For some reasons it works just with Digital Nature, but if I use some other themes, they are going to switch back to the default one after rebooting.

A future public update released with the year/week later than this internal

update.)
Please verify that this new version fixes the bug by marking this bug report as
VERIFIED after the public update has been released and if you have some time.

To answer popular followup questions:
* Nokia does not announce release dates of public updates in advance.
* There is currently no access to these internal, non-public build versions.
A Brainstorm proposal to change this exists at
http://maemo.org/community/brainstor..._packages-002/
So we just have to wait for next firmware release.

yeah I had that problem too. since I only restart it every few days, I am not too bothered by it. I just leave it on the Nokia theme after reboot untill I get tired of it again.
