Will there be another version of Diablo released as an SSU? If so, when? What do you think?

If there are still bugs being fixed there will probably also be a SSU sooner or later. But don't expect huge changes; just bug fixes and such.

yes, i think it was made clear a while ago that OS2008 will not see any new features. but i think i remember at least 1 comment by a nokian in bugzilla saying that the fix is in weekly build xx and will be available with the next SSU. of course this only means that at this point somebody thought there'd be another SSU... it's still possible that either this person was wrong in the first place or that they changed their minds meanwhile.

It better be soon, or else all of the category work is basically going to have been for naught (and I'm going to lose it).

Looks like the poll does know the truth... unfortunately.

I hope they fix the camera flip problem on the N800, it's awkward how it flips and launches fine when I boot from SD, but as soon as I boot from internal, camera will no longer flip or launch when camera lens is popped out.

Hey, it's great quoting my own posts here...

I found the bug report I referred to meanwhile. See:
https://bugs.maemo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=3970#c12

It refers to an internal Diablo build version x.2008.47, which is clearly newer than the last x.2008.43-7.

So we have:
a) Knowledge that there are newer Diablo-builds that fix existing bugs, occupying disk space somewhere in Finland but being held back.
b) Mara saying that our guess in the poll (no more updates) is correct.

What do we make of it? Does Nokia have an almost finished new SSU but did they decide not to release it to - uhm... protect us from the burden of a working mail client and a fixed media player?

(Off topic: What's the definition of the word "malice"? I ran across it and can't figure it out...)

I think they have regular internal (weekly?) builds of whole system. It is just that only some builds are stable/QA-ed enough to be officially blessed and released as firmware and SSU updates. Also it looks like the blessing time is sometimes quite long.
