I am continuing a new threat in Random Reboots...
From http://www.internettablettalk.com/fo...?t=2603&page=2
As you can see there I gave OS2006 another chance but this time I went from OS to OS meaning I went back to the original OS and upgraded it to SE and than to 2006...

Now I have no reboots at all... I am running the same applications as before...

Maemo Mapper
VNC Client and Server
Terminal
Maeomo Blocks
Dates

I have not recive not even one re boot "Me knocks on wood"
My Nokia 770 was assemble in Finland and some body was saying that he thought it was hardware specific since hes 770 was mad in Finland but I dont think thats the case.. I have put the 770 thru some stress including Video benchmarking and Full battery drain (I know thats not good only stresd once) and no reboots..
I also don't see any more abnormal ps running...
For those who encounter the same problem as me did you guys went from the original shipped OS to 2006?
Where I am going with this?
Simple when I was a developing scripts for OpenWRT and testing for DDWRT I saw some abnormality when you could not skip a pattern when upgrading firmwares... You had to follow a version upgrade... This is not the case in OpenWRT but only in DDWRT and it was only in the early stages of DDWRT not now...
Could it be the same case here?
I also encounter some package corruptions so it could be a problem during the upgrade.... I had to re install some packages using apt-get manually...

Okay this is WACKY.
This morning I checked my RSS feeds on my 770 and let it sit with the cover on in sleep mode. Eight hours later, I am sitting at my desk and hear the boot-up chime. What?

I uncover my tablet to see it just finishing a boot-up cycle. I load xterm and type "uptime" ... One minute.

I closed the device, started typing this post, and got to the word "xterm" above and heard the chime AGAIN. It rebooted AGAIN. This time I am leaving it open.

Before you ask: IT was charging all night and the battery still reports as "fuill"

I've never asked Nokia for support directly before. I just posted the above right to their support form. Let's see how they respond.

Are u exiting from xterm/ssh? If not, i bet your process list has a bunch of shells open and who knows what else.

On this note also had a bunch of lost wifi connects lately. I traced it to a dev Win2003 server that was constantly rebooting due to a lsass eror. It must have really been throwing a bunch of garbage thru the ether and whacking the AP squarely on the head

I havent got a randoom reboot for some time now... I did get one a few weeks ago but it was due to a system crash... other than that it seems to run perfect...
The system crash was due to the WiFi unable to start...
