I use Notecase, since I keep it synced up with my laptop and desktop using unison (or rsync). But it's no longer being developed (the free version at least).
Conboy is suppose to get Tomboy note syncing. So it'll be good when that happens.
Any recommendations ?
Here are those I have found.
( Provided you like typing on, or into, your NIT.)
NoteCase, available from Sourceforge :
Has all (?) the bells and whistles you could ask for.
(Missing? To merge nodes on the tree you seem to have to cut + paste + delete-left-over-node.)
Want to write an essay ?
Organize your notes as a searchable (and linked) database ?
Build a structure of ideas for some project ?
Write a diary ?
Yes!
For quick note taking, no, unless you are very familiar with it and find your way through all the bells and whistles quickly.
Quicknote, in maemo extras :
Can build structures.
Has a search tool, but no link tool.
No wordwrap !
A much simpler app usable for notes.
mNotes, in maemo extras :
A barebones app.
No wordwrap.
Shopping lists, short-time memos ?
Maemopad+, in maemo extras :
Can build structures.
No search or link tool.
The app I would use to collect information when visiting a fair.
Why? Wordwrap and a choice of typing / writing / sketching.
Longer texts I prefer to write in Leafpad and then import (into one of the above), thus minimizing the risk of inadvertantly changing something in my text-tree.
(Please note, I have used none of these apps heavily.)
liqbase, in maemo extras :
Looks very good for lots of things, but as yet no personal experience.
NEW: Conboy, in maemo Extras :
In developement, but looks very promising.
Has Links and wordwrap, Search is planned.
The whole screen-width is available for note text.
(has a thread in Applications forum)
