I just found a FAQ about the old PC game Heroes of Might and Magic 3 which claims it is available for Linux all major versions, and uses glibc; so, I was wondering if anyone had ever had any luck getting it to run on the tablet, or if anyone had ever tried? I can link the FAQ page here if it's any help to someone, this is a tremendous game that would be most interesting on a NIT IMO....:

The PC runs on x86 and Maemo on ARM processor (named TI OMAP). These processors instruction set differs, so no PC game will work directly (it can run on a Windows VM for Maemo). Itneeds to be recompiled, it is not hard, but only the game producer can do that because they have the code. You can ask them to compile it for Maemo. That will be a very interesting port. It can be sell trough http://store.ovi.com when it will be available also for Maemo, by the way does anybody know when the ovi store for maemo will be open?

I'm a big fan of HOMM as well...

I tried the dos version of HOMM2 with dosbox but it's so laggy.

It is a dream for me to play HOMM2/HOMM3 on N810...with all the sound and music.

But it seems very difficult.

I'm not sure about HOMM3 but for HOMM2 it should work well with the CPU and RAM of N810...

But since no code source, so it's still just a dream...
