So, I've figured out how to connect a bluetooth headset to the N810
(see video here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hCCIEKFXn-U )

But, how well does Bluetooth headsets work for Skype calls on the N810?
Is the sound quality ok?
Any lag/disconnects due to the bluetooth connection?
Does the sound improve significantly when using a cabled headset?

Also, any recommendations for a good bluetooth headset that would work with Skype on the N810 that is below $50?

Oh and, I read something about having to enable a hack for A2DP that was potentially very battery draining. Is this a requirement?

Thanks in advance!

A2DP is for hq stereo (or mono, but who needs hq mono), therefore not a requirement.

I just bought a BlueAnt Z9 (not Z9i) bluetooth headset for $28 shipped from BestBuy Outlet. Seemed like a good deal.

Hey silvermountain, does your bluetooth headset work?
I just bought a blueant headset too, to use with my N810, however the sound quality is terrible when on a skype call. It's all crackly when on a call. I also found out that when playing music or a video I get the same crackly effect. I found out via this thread that if I disable the wireless It sounds much better. However that will not work for me because the main reason I bought this headset was to use with skype. Is there anything I can do to make it sound better without disabling wifi? Any help would be greatly appriciated by anyone who knows what I'm talking about. Thanks.

this is just a suggestion, but i plan on ordering the n810 next week as soon as i get paid, but I've made all sorts of preperation before i get it like getting the sd adapter to store a 32gb card... but any way to the point, i also have a "stereo blue tooth head set" that works great on my laptop for SKYPE calls but i intend to get another head set that isnt as cheap ( though these are just fine, they only feel cheap) as the the pair i have which are the Soyo Freestyler HS11: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000NRU6EA which are like 20 bucks on frys.com vs amazon, but the new BT headset that will be for my highly anticipated "tablet" is going to be the Kensington Bluetooth Stereo Headphones with Microphone:http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg...RFKQS&v=glance but the reviews on the Cardo S-2:http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg...T21EQ&v=glance seem a little bit better so I'm not sure just yet, but it will be between those two. I'm not an expert about which BT headset works best with what devices but in my experience (and i'v had a ton of cell phones by the way, with even more BT headsets for them, and wound up not using them as much after awhile. which was a waste of money) you kinda gotta shop around becuase some that were said to be great sucked like the "jaw bone" when it came out, and ones that got the least amount of attention were very good so...
