MAEMO.TV - wow , interesting, I LOVE such a thing!

Just a moderator to move this under Maemo, or General, because this is so ON TOPIC.

Thank you for such quick replies

@ Reggie - at present i have no plans to monetize it and will not do so in future as well. wanted to make a consolidate resource on all things maemo in a video form.

all ideas are welcomed. what i had in mind was we can pt videos from simple tips to detailed device reviews to software walk through to mods.

need a community perspective to see if people like the ideas. i guess we might as well pull one off here

Just a thought:

When there's access to the original source file (rather than only a link to a flash video on youtube or thelike), you might want to create a Maemo show on blip.tv.

This video sharing site does offer the usual flash conversion, but it also keeps the original video file for download. Better yet: You can add a number of additional formats. In practice this would allow to have the usual flash video, have an N8x0-optimized version, a high quality MPEG4, even OGG Theora or 3gp... all on the same page. Really cool.

@ benny1967 Sure, ill look into what blip.tv is - at present i like vimeo or youtube. i guess blip tv is for directors who do a weekly shows, but being a little busy i feel ill not be able to do that.

please do let me know what all categories can the videos be divided into eg. reviews, apps, events, games, devices, etc...

please also visit the site and give feedback. thanks all

they try to be a platform for weekly shows etc., yes, but that doesn't mean you have to do that. i upload a short clip every now and then when i'm on holidays and want my friends to see the beach.

well i think its a great idea to compile a site that not only showcases new devices, and event presentations... but also great "how to's", it like pulling teeth to try and figure some stuff out. even though this is a "nice community it can be a bit mean at times when someone new has questions or really have a hunger to learn an certain members just tell them to read some old threads or do some ridiculous goose hunt for answers that can easily be answered. Neon Cherry had a great site for the N8x0 tablets with great videos on a lot of things but ( even though he never spoke it was still made simple ) i found myself wishing it were updated or at least add the new things that came out since the last video was made. i feel it would help bring more ppl into this great community and educate ppl on how great a device the tablet are so they wont feel so intimidated by them.
