Sounds like you need simply to reflash your 770. I'll assume that you've already downloaded the Nokia Tablet software updater read this and from there you've already connected your 770 via USB to your PC and reflashing it.
Search around, there's a few step-by-step guides if you're unsure about how to accomplish this.
