Hi,

I'm looking for a decent pair of bluetooth headphones. I'm wondering what other people on this forum are using. I want something I can pair with my N810 for music and with my N95 8GB in case a call comes in.

Also I'm looking to spend about $100 or less, and want over-the-head and ear headphones (not those behind the head ones or a straight up bluetooth headset for a phone).

I looked on Amazon for a fair bit, and these were the only decent ones I could find:

Thanks.

Eww. Those are an on-the-ear design. I hate those. They're totally uncomfortable to wear. I prefer the around-the-ear designs. You can actually wear those as ear protection at a firing range or to drown out the noise on a jet airplane and you can wear them for hours without them getting uncomfortable. You can also sleep in them. With the on-the-ear design, you can't keep them on more than a few hours tops.

Cardo s-2, but it's behind the head, unfortunately for you. They are about $25 and are great. I would give more details but I guess you aren't interested.

Well they are behind the head and on-the-ear....so no I'm not really that interested in them unfortunately.

Whoops, I never noticed that they weren't the over-the-ear type. That's what I should have said in the first post, that I only wanted over-the-ear ones.

Edit: After looking around Amazon for a little bit, I found:

From what I hear, the Sonys are much better than the Motorolas. However the price difference is fairly large!

Are you using the A2DP hack for the N810? As far as I know and recall, A2DP is not a part of Diablo.

No I am currently not using the hack, I thought A2DP was enabled in the N810. I did some researching and yeah I figured out it wasn't enabled.

I'm guessing this is the hack, right?

My battery life is pretty crappy already (like 2 hours of usage) so I guess I'll have to pick up a new battery.

Hey,

I bought a pair of Nokia BH-604's today, and they work fine on my N95 8GB. I did the A2DP bluetooth hack on my N810, but can't get it working in Canola. It just sounds crappy.

I tried to go to home/user/.atabake, edit config and change from oms to mplayer like I'm supposed to, but whenever I try to go to home/user/.atabake it just says Permission Denied.

What am I supposed to do?

The nokia headphones look like a proper bluetooth headset. The only downside for me is they have no noise canceling.

Yeah but they are so big that when you have music playing they block out a ton of outside noise! I compared them to my friend's Bose over-the-ear headphones with NC, and I honestly didn't like his at all, I found my Nokia headphones to be more comfortable and felt that the sound was about equal.

I bought a Motorola S705 adaptor which is quite small and has a decent FM radio, and I can use it with any of my headphones, including noise cancelling ones and small portable ones.

I get a very good range with them and the tablet, I left the tablet running at one end of the house and got very clear sound at the other.

A friend bought some very cheap a2dp headphones off ebay and he has to remain within 4 feet or so!

--edit--
the S705 can be connected a mono "sco" to a phone *and* to an A2DP source at the same time, it will pause A2DP with ACR profile and connect the call, when call finishes can resume music playback.
