I searched for this but can't find anything on it or see how to do it through the configuration. I have Claws-Mail 3.7.1 runing on Diablo on my N810. I originally configured it to have my mail folders on the internal memory, but now I want to try a Mer install there so I'm trying to find out how to change the folder location (like to my 8GB SD card that I never take out of the device). I can't find it anywhere in the preferences/configuration, so I suspect it's something I might have to manually edit in an unknown (to me) config file.

I have about 10 different email accounts that I check, so I would prefer not to reinstall Claws just to get the folder location changed.

Thanks for any help!

There's no way to do it inside of claws mail (that I know of), however you can simply move the folder manually, then create a simlink where the old folder was so that Claws knows to look in the new location.

Hmmm.....simlink?

I ended up just reinstalling (which was a lot of typing), but unlike the last time this time I have a bluetooth keyboard, so it's not quite as bad.

I think I might suggest this to the Claws-Mail folks, as this is something that should be able to be changed.

You can change the path via a command-line config option:

But, as you can see, I reopened the bug a while back -- with no response.
