Hi All.

This is my first post here, thought I have been reading this forum for a long long time. I must say this is an awesome forum.

Recently I got a network TV tuner called HDHomeRun (www.silicondust.com). It is a very nice product which lets you watch tv anywhere in your home network. I have 2 digital tuners built in. It comes with open source application and drivers for Linux (http://www.silicondust.com/downloads/linux). I was wondering if it is possible to compile these for Nokia N8x0. I am really interested in watching TV using nokia itt.

Thanks

SG

You might want to look into Hava Player.

I have hdhomerun too and I hate to tell you that the tablet is not up to the task of decoding the hd stream for playback, never mind accepting the whole approx 20Mb/s via wifi.

If you are determined to use the two together, I would recommend using something like mythtv and recording streams and then reducing size and then stream to the tablet from there. Not live tv, but if you get some shows recorded and compressed, it might be nice.

BTW, this is not knocking the hdhomerun at all, it is a super product, just saying using the two together will be difficult simply because of the very high cpu and storage requirements for HD video.

You COULD though get the programs compiled and at least use it to change the channel on the tuner.
