I just purchased a Nokia N810 that came with a Kingston 8GB Micro SDHC card. This is my first tablet. The tablet only recognizes 2 GB. Any suggestions on correcting this issue?

It should recognize the whole 8gb. However, I suspect what you're seeing, given the size you mention, is actually the internal 2gb storage rather than the card. If you go into the maemo file manager, you should see 3 drives. If you only see 2, your sd card isn't being picked up, because it'll always be the 3rd on the list and will usually say "external card".

Make sure that you have inserted it completely into the minisd adaptor and that both are firmly inside the minisd slot. Then turn your N810 on.
