Hi,

right now we've a lot of threads starting with "Brainstorm..." in diverse sub-forums. I totally agree that the brainstorm discussion should happen in talk, but we don't have a definitive solution for that at the moment.
IMO a good start will be aggregate all the brainstorm threads in a sub-forum and encourage the discussion of the brainstorm ideas in talk, until we reach a better solution.

Thoughts ?

Thanks for bringing this up Valerio.

Yes, this can easily be added. The problem I'm seeing however is members create new brainstorm threads with 'Brainstorm' in the title and yet the proposal is not in the main maemo.org Brainstorm page.

If the proposed new Brainstorm forum will be, for the mean time, a preliminary place to formulate a brainstorm ideas, then that would be helpful. Also, how about a structure like this:

Brainstorm <- main category
- Initial Brainstorming <- sub-forum where anyone can create new threads to formulate brainstorm ideas
- Proposed Brainstorm Ideas <- sub-forum containing proposed ideas from the maemo.org brainstorm page. Members can discuss, post replies, but not create new threads as they will come directly from the Brainstorm system.

Well, that should solve the problem for now and IMO will be also suitable for the future when we reach the full talk-brainstorm integration. Of course we need some extra housekeeping in this forum in order to avoid confusions.

Yes, please create the Brainstorm forum as proposed at http://maemo.org/community/brainstor...in_brainstorm/

No need to make it complicated. Let's just have a sticky topic and move to elsewhere the topics created without previous submission of a Brainstorm proposal. If the thread starter does the homework them we can bring the thread back to the forum. I believe most people will behave.

Ooops! Sorry, I had forgot about this thread and I have requested the creation of the Brainstorm forum in the thread where this idea had been proposed before. Reggie, you opinion or action is required. Thanks!
