How do I connect/sync with ovi contacts? Is it possible?

No. This feature does not seem to be available yet.

Only other way to sync contacts that I know of would be PC Suite or Google Mail for Exchange (Contact and Calendar only)

I wish I knew someone at Nokia, so I could slap them. This better be available at launch, or I'll whine about it!

I though you could setup ovi account on the device then it will be synced. I don't have the device with me atm. Yet, maybe someone has device could test it?

Ovi needs SyncML via http, which the N900 doesn't support. - You could add SyncML via http as a third party app, but Ovi is set up in a so braindead way that even this wouldn't help:

They don't ever give you access to your own login credentials for Ovi. Instead, they send a SMS which is interpreted by a Nokia phone so it can connect to Ovi. (And, best part, even then it doesn't work. Syncing against Ovi doesn't work for a lokt of S60 customers, the error is always the same and Nokia doesn't care.)

So you'd have to ask Nokia to provide the details about how this password-SMS works (which they won't provide), then add this to an existing SyncML appilication like Syncevolution... well, and then you'll run intio the same error I have on my phone.

Better wait for Nokia to fix it.

Yea, Ovi Contacts worked flawlessly on my E51 and it wierd to see the lack of full integration of Nokia's own suite of apps in the N900. I am hopeful this will change with the launch. Perhaps this is the reason for the slides in pre-order shipping dates

A lot of people say that Nokia works on improvements to last day.
I also hope that full integration with ovi sync will be in shipping devices.

Some of these "issues" just seem so obvious, I don't understand how they can leave out such seemingly simple features. They need to make better use of the community, and sort out the things the device NEEDS, prior to presale. I was so hyped about this mobile, and now I keep finding these little "hiccups"
