I'm not sure if anyone else has been following this.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/8315918.stm

The battle between the content providers/aggregators such as Google/Apple/Amazon and the guys that control the pipes and access devices is heading towards a new dawn. Of course everyone wants to be in at both ends, hence Apple iPhone, Android and Nokia's move towards services.

Hopefully Openness, Standards will create its own set of Net Neutralities.

Both extremes are wrong.

Bandwidth is not free, so overbooking takes place.

What blurs the line is that with real-time protocols such as SIP and RTP the customer wants priority, and often already apply this for example in their DSL or cable modems.

Both LTE and WiMax support QoS.

The other extreme is that competitive services are blockers, such as the blocking of VoIP and SMSoIP.

There are also several proposals, so being against one of such proposal does not mean one is 'for' or 'against' network neutrality.

Here is another article listing some corporation's who are against network neutrality as for current proposal.

The single largest problem in this issue is the distortion of what net neutrality means-- disinformation created and spread by walled garden creators.
