For those in US interested in buying locally, or seeing the phone in person, I just noticed that the N900 is showing up on BestBuy.com. Backordered, with estimated delivery Nov. 30 to Dec. 14. Also says "available in most stores", so hopefully they'll carry at their retail locations. Priced at $599.

Wow. I'm impressed that they're getting an unlocked phone.

avoid Best Buy like the plague. you WILL NOT be happy with them if you have to return or warranty it.

Great news for N900 fans...even if you don't buy one from Best Buy, the fact that it will be getting mainstream exposure in such a ubiquitous store means ultimately more customers and (hopefully) better ongoing support for the platform as the revenue justifies the resources to keep improving it. Or so goes the theory, anyway

They sold the N95 and 97 unlocked too, so makes sense

Pretty sure they are 15% restock on unlocked phone returns.

Don't forget sales tax unless you live in the state of Oregon.

JW: Why?

Best Buy would not be my first choice. But I do imagine that returning it to a retail store would be much easier than an online one.

Best Buy got rid of restocking fee recently I had bought a laptop and did not like it so returned on the 9th day I had bought it no restocking fee. When asked was repliued with, " we do not have a restocking fee anymore".

Best Buy - another company I am not to keen on - ever since they had one version of the website for the public and one for inside the store. So you would go in saying - "Hey it says online this is 20% off" and they would check "the website" and show you that it didnt say that.

They were sued successfully for doing that kind of ****.
