How will the N900 help Nokia's bottom line ? Perhaps the Maemo 6 device will be more consumer driven. I hope so for Nokia's sake.

not at all. nokia can't do that or they have to cut 99% of their size and start making one phone model per year. with heavy restrictions, sim locks etc...

Apple does not unveil profits per business line, but Strategy Analytics estimated Apple's operating profit for its iPhone handset unit stood at $1.6 billion in the third quarter, compared with Nokia's $1.1 billion.

vs.

Apple reports fiscal Q4 earnings: $1.67b profit, Mac sales way up, iPod sales down, 'great new products' for 2010link

So, basicly Strategy Analytics thinks that Apple's other busineses (macs,Ipods,iTunes, etc) don't make any profit?

I think apple should start making game consoles. If they do,i bet Microsoft wouldn't stand a chance and Sony MIGHT do good. I think next gen is APPLE.

Nice point. It’s easy to catch their lies. You don’t need to have a Phd in economics.

Don’t believe in every lie you read.
This is fake old news. Why did they put them out today? Because of the announcement of Nokia N900. People here should focus in building a great maemo platform. Evangelizers should search for other site.

7.4 million iPhones, 3.1 million Macs... seeing the breakdown properly of per phone - 3G and 3GS - would give a proper measurement.
