Hello guys,

A friend who lives in Canada is trying to buy online a Nokia 5800 Xpress Music, unlocked. He tried to buy it in Amazon, but it said they can't ship it. Is there are any good online store where he can get it?

Cheers,

expansys.ca isn't cheap, but they usually have what you're looking for and they ship to Canada without hassles or surprises.

Newegg.ca also has Nokia phones.

However, beware. Nokia Canada will not provide warranty support for any Nokia phone unless you bought it from a carrier in Canada (e.g. Rogers). That is why, if you go to www.nokia.ca and try to buy a 5800 XM, they send you to www.rogers.com.

Expansys.ca, newegg.ca, etc. all look like Canadian vendors, but they are US sites selling US models. I know the Canadian and US models are identical, but you won't have a warranty in Canada. I bought an E71 from newegg.ca, and when I entered the IMEI at nokia.ca's warranty page, it said "not supported".

I eventually bought a branded 5800 XM from Rogers.

No, the reason you can't buy anything from nokia.ca is because they closed their online store for "renovations" until 2010.

When US stores don't ship internationally you can try to use www.shipito.com. They can receive and ship what you order online in the US to your address. I used them and it works pretty well.
