Just wondering if this new Nokia DAB headset could work with the N900 with USB host mode or some other programming?

If not, is it remotely possible for the FM receiver to pick up frequencies between 217 and 230 MHz and feed the signal to a software decoder?

That shouldn't be possible as the FM receiver only gets signal for 76 MHz to 108 MHz according to its data sheet: http://pdf1.alldatasheet.com/datashe...M/BCM2048.html

Probably, as long as host mode is working on our devices (is it?) and there's an appropriate driver.

Actually I just read something saying that the USB connector is different, so it would be worth double checking and buying an adaptor before testing.

Surely it's the standard micro USB?

The N8 uses micro-a for usb on-the-go, which won't fit in a micro-b socket. But the only significant difference* between micro-a and micro-b is the shape and you can file a micro-a connector down so it fits in a micro-b socket.

* There is a pin on the micro-a/b connectors which tell devices which support usb-on-the-go which type of connection it is, but it is not used by the N900 AFAIK, so that difference can be ignored.
