Hey guys,

My white notification light continues to flash when there is nothing notifying me ? Anyone know whats up with that and has anyone had same issue ??

This was after the new update, was not happening before, only obviously flashed when it was notifying me of something..

Any ideas ??

Yeah - why the heck did they enable that by default in the new firmware? It scared me too! Who on earth wants to kill their battery with a light that tells you the device is switched on???? (I never turn mine off anyway!)

Thanks heaps for that. Worked a treat. So annoying, stupid thing to enable as default.

because scarse blinking needs less battery than checking if the device is on by turning screen lights on, disturbing processors sleep etc...

and I got used to it with my e71.

it seems that you hadn't this notification before the upgrade, right?
so i assume that you haven't made a backup?

in my case restoring the backup after the upgrade deactivated this one right away. like it was before the upgrade ^^

Did the OTA upgrade cause i had my screens set the way i wanted them, so doing it that way kept everything in its place

on a side note tho, anyone else noticed more free space on rootfs? mine went from 35meg to 50 after the update. this might be because i had to reflash before it would allow me to do the OTA update. but having said that i have restord from a backup and reinstalled all my applications bar 1

How badly does it drain the battery anyway?
Shouldn't be too bad..
Though I imagine it is a bit distracting (Might make you think you got an SMS or something...)
