I usually do not post things like these, but this one really got me upset how uniformed some "news reporters"/bloggers can be. If you want to ruin your day too, have look at this:

Meego, yougo, we all go

Maybe we, the owners of "vapourware", could flood this page with some comments about the devices that seem to be running Maemo.

BTW, for those who did not know it, Maemo was a little project started "last year by Intel and Nokia", but it "never actually came to fruition". I certainly did not know this.

This guy reminds me of Zero-Punctuation....I love his video's, But nobody actually cares what he thinks.
His comments are just to cause a response, I'd just ignore it and carry on.

Honestly most, if not all of what he writes is rather accurate.

And also, your "BTW" is flawed.
It does not say that Maemo was a little project started "last year by Intel and Nokia".

The quote reads: "Last year the two firms teamed up for something called Maemo, which never actually came to fruition,".
I would assume that these two companies DID actually meet last year to see if Maemo could be the - or part of a stand-alone solution - ..it was, most likely identified that it wasn't and the MeeGo alternative was born.

Including your own little quotes "..." is a rather poor practice don't you think?

And that Maemo never came to fruition is especially true today.
