I am currently using an Android Phone.
Due to the fact that I am using Linux since years, Maemo is very interesting for me.
On Android, when I install an Application, I can see if it want to request access to personal data and can then decide to install it or not.
Is there anything similar in Maemo? I have no Problems with installing Open Source applications, but with close source ones...
Second thing is the Instant Message client on Maemo. When I tested it on my desktop, it popped up new messages instead of just notifying me. (Wasn't there a systray in Maemo once?) Does it do it on the phone too?
