Nokia I owe you an apology. I misjudged you. I regret that I called you stupid. It was me who was stupid.

After my expansys incident, I used all my MacGyver skills and obtained myself a N900 in 5 hours. And for 60€ cheaper than Expansys. The only thing is that I have umlauts on my keyboard (I'm NOT german, and do not understand anything german related except cars ).

Then I turned it on.

HOLY SH.T! I still cannot grasp all the awesomeness of this device.
I 'm afraid it will morph into that dude from the commercial. I keep it on distance. Just in case.

P.S. The guy in the store warned me that I must charge it for 16 hours before I turn it on. I laughed, inserted the battery and turned it on in front of him. Then I left

Haha, 16 hours.. when was that last true? 2000? Back when there were still NiCd or NiMH batteries in phones.. years ago, anyway. On the other hand there was similar advice in Nokia manuals up to very very recently (presumably recycling old manual lore in new manuals, year after year).
