Sorry, can't help you with your request, but you'll probably get better results if you edit the title so that people can immediately see what the post is about. That way the ones who can help know immediately that this is for them.

Oh, and search the forum for VNC. I believe this has been discussed before. It's always good to show that you've tried to solve the problem yourself instead of just immediately calling for help.

The search function is really good. Start there first.

Then go out into the internets and get some experience/learning with those and come back.

Search around. There's thread after thread on VNC. Go to maemo.org and add the repositories found there.

Then you're going to be sadly disappointed.

Give a man a fish, he eats for a day. Teach a man to fish, he eats for a lifetime.

Give a man fire, and he's warm for a day. Set a man on fire and he's warm for the rest of his life!

1. Install VNC Viewer on your Nokia: http://maemo.org/downloads/product/vnc-viewer/

2. Install Ultra VNC on your PC: http://www.uvnc.com/ and run it.

3. Do a little reading on both sites about the programs.

4. On your PC, right click the Ultra VNC icon in the menu bar and select Admin Properties. In the Authentication area, enter a password.

5. On the Start Menu of your PC, go to Accessories, open a Command Prompt, type ipconfig and press <Return>.

6. Make note of your IP Address so you can enter it in VNC Viewer on your Nokia.

7. On the Nokia, run VNC Viewer and enter the IP address of your PC, along with the password that you entered in Ultra VNC.

8. Post another message to A.) offer copious thanks for the many thoughtful and generous people who help each other on this board, and B.) get clarification in case something didn't work. (I may have forgotten some detail because it's been awhile since I set this up on my system.)

9. Be a little more gracious and a little less edgy the next time you need help.

Boblinds, thanks for that, I was never clear on how to get started on VNC. It is one of those subjects that is on my list to focus on.

That is exactly the information I needed.

Thanks again.
