I don't notice anything ground breaking or worth reading. I really don't understand why people treat QT like a God.

I hope you are not referring to me because I certainly do not worship Qt. The reason I posted the link, and why I think it is worth wile reading, is because Qt is the future of Maemo and it is good to see its progress. If that makes you think I am somehow part of a cult, I think your objectivity is highly suspect. But, if you were not referring to me, I still wonder what basis do you have for such a radical statement.

Edit: By the way, I have heard of the Moonies and of the Mennonites, but never of the Mooninites. Is that a new group or are you the only member?

I didn't see any abject worship in the article or comments. Did I miss something?

Qt is a C++ development framework that allows a single application to target multiple platforms. It's actually quite a bit more than that, and is quickly growing into a complete runtime environment.

You should be interested because it allows developers to target both Symbian (100s of millions of users) and Maemo5/6 (14,318 users) without much added complexity.

heh... don't confuse member count here with total users. Of course, I'm hoping most of the devices sold aren't just gathering dust...

That was mostly sarcasm, on behalf of the thousands of people waiting to get their hands on the N900 and wondering when Nokia will be shipping the next dozen devices.
