You'll get one protector & a copy of the instructions since the 3 I ordered were shipped in one package. There's not much to it though. Just try to get it as dust free as possible & don't shine a flashlight on it because you will probably notice a speck or two that you otherwise wouldn't under normal usage. It also says to use a credit card to get rid of air bubbles, but just scraping against at them didn't seem effective so a tip is to scrape them with the card flat against the screen instead of at an angle which made it much easier to push out any air bubbles.
These are really nice & go on much easier then the military grade protectors that require water & soap to apply. Mine is nearly an exact fit leaving no gap between the bezel & the screen area. These are also crystal clear & will make your n900 feel & look like a screen without a protector unlike the rubber orange peel like texture of other protectors.
